Melasti Beach

One of Bali's most Instagrammable hilltop tourist attractions, Melasti Beach at Ungasan Village has the main attraction of being located on the edge of a steep and very curvy limestone hill.

The spectacular view of Melasti Beach can be seen from the top of the steep limestone hill, there is even a special staircase for pedestrians to climb up the hill to be able to see the entire Melasti Beach from a very high place (approximately 150 meters from sea level).

If observed on social media such as Instagram, Facebook and so on, the streets of Melasti Beach that are located between ravines and steep limestone cliffs often become the background of the photos uploaded by them.

The crystal clear blue sea, which is one of the characteristics of the beaches on the southern tip of Bali, is also the main attraction of Melasti Beach. Small fish swimming during low tide can be clearly seen from above.

A unique sight that occurs during low tide at Melasti Beach is the presence of rock cavities that form a pond, which looks green from above. Visitors usually like to take a dip in these cavities during low tide.

The white and soft sand of Melasti Beach should not be forgotten, this is what makes visitors feel at home for long playing or walking with bare feet on the sand of this beach.

Visitors who bring children usually let them play in the sand at this beach, because when the tide is high Melasti Beach is not safe enough for children to play in the water, unlike the beaches in Sanur (Sanur Beach, Sindhu Beach, Matahari Terbit Beach) which are more suitable for children to play in the water.

The existence of small stone caves adds to the variety of tourist attractions here. Visitors who are afraid of overheating can take shelter in these small caves.

These caves can accommodate up to a dozen visitors, which is why visitors are more free to put their luggage in this cave while sitting relaxed in it. [ED/AY]
