Located in Nusa Lembongan, Bali. This is something unique.
Based on local information, the house was built in 1961 over a period of up to 15 years by a hermit. In the process, at the time it was still using traditional tools and mostly used burnt cow dung to make the limestone easier to dig. The cave was then used as a residence, a work that is very suitable to be valued and made a cultural heritage site.
At the entrance of the house you can see photographs of the maker, Made Byasa, and there are two traditional buildings, a well, a sacred banyan tree, and a small temple.
The house has 3 entrances and the passage extends up to 7 meters underground. To enjoy the view of the house, you have to go down a 2-meter long staircase and an interesting fact is that the rooms inside the house are short, 1 to 2 meters high. Yes, it would be difficult for some people without crawling.
It is almost like a maze of bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, and bathrooms and apart from that, a well and a banyan tree.
Tourists are allowed to visit this house from 09:00 am to 06:00 pm.
Location: Lembongan Island.
