Batuan Traditional House

The hallmark of an authentic Balinese house is that the gate of the house is greeted by a small angkul (gate) that can be passed by one person, made of stone or clay and straw is used as the roof.

If you enter the house area with a land area of 5 hectares, you will feel a unique and beautiful atmosphere. This traditional house has a very unique charm from some of the houses we have seen, this is where we will know the real ancient Balinese buildings.

This traditional Balinese house has never been renovated since it was first built over 100 years ago. Its dull-colored walls are still flawlessly intact.

The courtyard is filled with gravel and stones, adorned with flowers and plants. The stones are quite shiny, indicating the longevity of the building. What's even more special is the kitchen, which still has clay.

Cooking utensils such as stoves are also made of earth. The fuel is also wood, so the smoke always soars when cooking.

One of the tourist attractions that still provides authentic Balinese houses, for you to see firsthand is in the Batuan tourist area, Sukawati.

This authentic Balinese house is located in Banjar Punida Negara, Batuan Village, Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency.
